You are trapped in the fear of execution. When I was fat, then I'll go back if you can (in water) and check) then the fat is even deeper for evidence (of water a milky appearance and / or water in the lower unit. If this happens again, you must have repaired the smallest unit. Or you can take it to a dealer, you now have the pressure test, so that would be created for the new season.
The improved drainage, and fill the bottom of the unit to check in every season and too old twice per season, especially engines. From my own experience.

You do not have a problem is the amount of water was very small print at the bottom. Whether the lubricant is not changed in a very long time. Or is there a leak in the seal of the drive shaft. If there is enough water to cause damage. You see, in the case of cracks.

to stop what you are doing, and pressed / VAC proof. The headquarters of an outboard motor is as expensive as the head of power. Exact change is the seal / seals are leaking. A review is required. a 65-horsepower engine is not new!
